I recently came across a few pieces on grief, all within a very short period of time. I felt that these messages were put in my path for a reason, so I want to pay them forward. I was extremely active here on the forum for many years. I have healed well and moved forward, but I do like to check in here from time to time now. I hope these will bring some level of healing to those of you who need it now.

When I die
Give what’s left of me away
To children
And old men that wait to die.
And if you need to cry,
Cry for your brother
Walking the street beside you.

And when you need me,
Put your arms
Around anyone
And give them
What you need to give to me.

I want to leave you something,
Something better
Than words Or sounds.

Look for me
In the people I’ve known
Or loved,
And if you cannot give me away,
At least let me live in your eyes
And not on your mind.

You can love me most
By letting Bodies touch bodies,
And by letting go
Of children
That need to be free.

Love doesn’t die,
People do.
So, when all that’s left of me Is love,
Give me away.

I loved this next one so much, I made it into a meme using a favorite picture of a favorite place.

Many of you might have seen this next one on social media. It is a treasure. I was unable to find a file small enough to insert here as an image so I have included a link to the site where I first saw it a few days ago.

All tears are healing tears.  They help to wash away our sorrow and allow the first buds of happiness to blossom in our hearts. -- Susie "Squillions"
