I miss the way Kacey would bark when someone was at or near the front yard.  She would always look at me and bark as if to say:

SOMEONE IS OUT THERE!  COME ON, WE HAVE TO PROTECT THIS HOUSE!

But now I find myself barely noticing the front yard anymore.  Or the back yard for that matter.

Blazin65 - this is a wonderful picture of your Kacey.  The 'alarm system' with paws!

I miss seeing my girl Maggs sitting on the front porch, like a little lioness, in the sunshine watching the birds and the squirrels run around.  Then, get up and with a big, lazy stretch, 'pounce' on her sister as if to say - 'It is time for us to play.'

There is so much I miss about her  - -  - And so much I am grateful for - - - She brought gentleness; joy; loyalty; calmness; strength; and dignity to our lives daily . . .
