I had to get my dog put to sleep yesterday when my husband took him to the vets I thought he'd be coming back, he didn't and I never got to say goodbye

So sorry for you loss.  It is especially difficult when it is unexpected.  Your dog knew you loved him.  We all have the heartbreak of losing our beloved furbabies.  You are not alone in your grief.  Your dog is not in any pain, no sickness, no problems.  Try to think of that in the days ahead.

I am so sorry. My Scooter died unexpectedly too. He was fine one day and the next told he was dying. The pain you feel is horrible. I am not going to say any poignant words because I had and still is having a horrible time. What I will say helped was crying, crying and more crying along with this forum.

Maybe down the road you need to talk to the vet. You didn't say what the problem was and I don't want you to.
Do what you need to to get through this. I didn't get dressed for the first three days ;'s how numb, angry, and dazed I was.

My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to you.
