As some of you may or may not know, The ASPCA in NYC decided to euthanize Oreo the pit bull mix who was thrown off the roof of a six story in Brooklyn this past June and suffered two broken legs, a broken rib among other injuries.  Amazingly Oreo was a fighter and survived the fall but the "experts" at the ASPCA this week determined she could not be saved due to behavioral issues and even though no fewer than two other groups  offered to take her in and continue her therapy they ended her life yesterday November 13th.  We all know that she deserved more than months of pain and suffering only to be put to death by those who were supposed to be helping her.  Needless to say I am not happy with the decision of the ASPCA and have lost confidence in their ability to do the right thing.  Oreo I am sorry they failed you.  Rest in peace at last sweet angel.

Rest in peace precious sweet Orea. You are in the arms of the Angels.

I will never understand why these things happen Tom!!  I agree with you though, I'm not happy either with this decision! I've always been a big supporter, but lately, I have some serious questions with some of there decisions!

Oh blessed are you precious Oreo,
You are safe now from all humans on this earth.
No one will ever throw you out of a tall building
window again. No one will ever hurt you again.
No one will put you to sleep again.
You are whole again sweetheart.
You you have no more broken bones
or internal injuries.
I'll never understand why the ASPCA tried
to help you then you start  getting better
then they killed you.
Now.. that just don't add up!
That is not having any common sense.
Aggressive?  A human would be aggressive too
if they had been what you had been through.
Not looking into your eyes and reading them
was a mistake.
You breathed like we do, you have feelings
and your blood is as red as ours.
I know darling , I know how you cried.
I'm so sorry sweetheart. I'm so very sorry.
You would have needed to be placed in a home
where there was adults only and you would be
the only fur baby there, and common since
would tell you , you never bother a fur baby
while eating after they have been through what
you had been through.  Patience and love and
a lot of understanding is all you needed.
Why would a person pester you with a false
hand are put you around another fur baby
after what you had been through.
There was a way, they just did not deem it
right in their eyes so the easy way out was to
just put you to sleep.
Oh precious love, you never have to worry
again you are safe now forever more.
You are surrounded by all the love you can hold.
Mercy is there with you her story is a sad one too.
But she was not killed like you were,  the hands that
tried to save her life really loved her.  She crossed
the bridge on her own.
two precious pits one in the wrong hands in the
beginning then placed in other wrong hands.
The other in the wrong hands and placed into
the hands that loved her and did their best to save
her.

((( Oreo )))  we here love you precious darling.
You have a lot of mom's and dad's here.

You are as safe now as safe can be.
You are in the arms of an Angel
