Every time I look at this photo all I think is this is the last photo that I took of him. He was so happy. He never smiled with his teeth for the camera. He hated having his photo taken. My last memory is this, this, and us leaving for our trip and saying to him, "Don't be sad. We'll be back soon." We never saw him again. I will never get to hug him, kiss him, tell him that I love him again. My heart breaks a little bit more as each day goes by. I'm even struggling to write this because I'm crying again. I will never never ever understand this, why this had to happen. I love you Popcorn. I want to believe that you can hear me, that you are not mad at me, but I just don't know. No matter what you will always be with me. You and Jack are together now, and that's the only thing that's making this a little bit easier for me. Now I know that Jack is not so lonely anymore. I think about you every single day. I just don't know how much more I can take of this pain that I am feeling. I miss you so much. 💔

I am so sorry to learn about your unexpected loss. Please come back and tell us more about your sweet little Popcorn (I love his name!). it really helps to tell his story and bring your memories of him to life for the people who read about them.

I'm thinking of you now as you struggle to come to terms with this devastating loss.
In one of the stars, I shall be living. In one of them, I shall be laughing. And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing when you look at the sky at night. -- The Little Prince, Antoine de Saint-Exupery
