I cannot believe that yesterday was one month since I had to put my Baby Leon to sleep.  He has visited me in my dreams a few times which gives me enormous comfort - but I miss him so much.

I got a tattoo on my back yesterday in his memory - and found it quite fitting that the first time they could fit me in was exactly one month to the day of his passing!  I am really really pleased with how it came out, and so happy that he will always have my back, and be in my heart.

Wow.  That is awesome.  It brings to mind one of my favorite poems:

i carry your heart with me (i carry it in my heart)

i am never without it (anywhere

i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done

by only me is your doing, my darling)

i fear no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet)

i want no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)

and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant

and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows

(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud

and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows

higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)

and this is the wonder that’s keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)

The timing of your appointment was no accident.  That's precisely the kind of thing our Bridge Kids arrange to let us know they're with us forever and always.

My heart is battered and bruised, but I will not let it break. It holds such precious cargo, I must protect it now. (Susie Squillions)

"Memories of loved ones are like songs in our soul." Margaret Wakeley

In one of the stars, I shall be living.
In one of them, I shall be laughing.
And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing when you look at the sky at night.
~ The Little Prince, Antoine de Saint-Exupery

That is the exact poem I had in mind when looking for Maggie's urn.  I carry your heart in my heart.  I am going to be getting a tatoo, at my left shin, because that is where Maggie always walked.  She was off lead trained and would walk next to me at my left knee.  I will feel like she is still following me around.  I have to find the right picture still however.  \\

I am sorry for your loss CT, I wish you peace.  3 weeks for me since I last held my Maggie.

Thank you everyone - I'm glad you all like it!  That is the exact poem that inspired the wording.
