I remember seeing you in the woods behind our house. You were a huge white cat with an orange tint .. so I refered to you as ol yeller. We had a bad winter last year in Houston, below freezing and snow. I didn’t find out until after the fact that you had come to our door wanting in, my husband said you were soaking wet so he didn’t let you in. I wish you would have come to me!! I never turn anyone away. I know you saw all the dogs, cats and horses we had, they are all rescue animals. Our neighbor had said he found a cat under his house. I could never ask if it was you!! But since I have never seen you again,,I am sure it must have been!! I am so sorry!! My heart hurts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so sorry to hear that Ol' Yeller has gone.  It must have broken your heart to find out that he was turned away when he came to you for shelter.  He is safe and healthy now forever, and will never want for anything.  He knows what is in your heart, and that if you had been at the door that night, you would have brought him inside.

You and Angel Ol' Yeller are in my thoughts and prayers.

My heart is battered and bruised, but I will not let it break. It holds such precious cargo, I must protect it now. (Susie Squillions)

In one of the stars, I shall be living.
In one of them, I shall be laughing.
And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing when you look at the sky at night.
