Dear Ashley, I am so very sorry to hear that Buddy had to make his way to the Rainbow Bridge, leaving you behind to mourn your loss. We all understand your sorrow now, and the loneliness you feel. In time you will find that the wonderful memories of life with Bud will come flooding back to you. The tears will flow, but the smiles will shine through and eventually overtake the tears just as the sun shines through the rain to form a beautiful rainbow. I came to this site in 2004 after losing my Buddy to intestinal lymphoma. The wonderful people who were here then soothed my aching heart and helped me to find my smiles again. I hope you will find the same to be true for you now. I've asked my Angel Buddy to welcome your Buddy to the Buddy Club at the Rainbow Bridge, and to help him send you signs and visit you in your dreams. When it happens, you will know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that your Bud has spent some time with you. He will live forever in spirit and in your heart, and he will never be more than a whisper away from you. Talk to him. Tell him all the words of love you hold in your heart. The two of you are only parted by a thin veil, and he hears every word. You and your sweet Angel Buddy are in my thoughts and prayers.
My heart is battered and bruised, but I will not let it break. It holds such precious cargo, I must protect it now. (Susie Squillions)

In one of the stars, I shall be living.
In one of them, I shall be laughing.
And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing when you look at the sky at night.
