Could someone please tell me who was hugging my baby last night when that thunder storm came through? It was thundering so hard. and every time it did that, My halfie would crawl up in my arms because she was so scared. I'd have to sit with her for what might have been hours until it passed, Who was hugging her last night consoling her and telling her it was okay that it wasn't gonna hurt her?  She was always so afraid of the thunder, her little body would shake uncontrollably. who was there for her than? I keep thinking of that cold lifeless body buried in my back yard. I can't even go near it yet. Who was consoling her last night.Who was making her feel better?

That's one of the many beautiful things about the bridge!   There are no fears, no pain ... our beloved furries are surrounded by love, compassion and comfort ... they run free and healthy ... NO WORRIES!   They watch over us while they run and play and eat treats to their hearts content.
Don't worry about your baby, she is surrounded by love.  My handsome boy Rebel is one of the greeters and I'm sure he's showing your girl a good time

I guess I don't know for sure myself where our babies are but I truly do believe that if there is a heaven, they are all there because they are all wonderful beings and in heaven there can't possibly be fear or sadness. It has to be everything wonderful we could imagine. I'm sure your baby is just fine, happy and safe. No thunderstorms in heaven.

I always thought there was a place for all the animals we loved so much in life. Right now I'm not so sure. God talks about how he loves all his creatures great and small.  All I can do is pray one day I'll be with all the animals I have lost that I loved and still love so much. Halfie probably more than most because she was always more vulnerable than any other. I spent most of her life protecting her from so many things. Now I can't do that anymore. My heart tells me God's doing it now. But this is the first time I've ever wished I could be sure.......

quirks, I keep thinking if an animal can love, it has to have a soul? If something has and can show emotions doesn't that come from the soul as well as the heart?

Ted was holding court for all the scared little ones.  Ted did not like it when anyone, human or animal was upset.  Ted had a sense when something was amiss.  He always would sit just near enough to comfort and sat quietly like he knew.  It was one of his most endearing traits.  I have no doubt he is up there comforting others.  That was what he did best.

Dear Lisa,

Your post really touches my heart.

On Saturday, August 7th, a beautiful little 7 year-old girl in our area named Faith Pruden died of a brain tumor.  Her story was well known here, and People Magazine even did a story on her.  People all over the world were following Faith's journey. She was the bravest little girl I've ever heard of, and I honestly believe that if there were such a thing as fear on the other side, Faith would be just the angel whose lap any dog or cat would seek out for comfort.  I have no doubt that whenever our Bridge Kids need fun and comfort, Faith is right there to provide it.  She was a remarkable little girl while she was here on earth, and I know she is a wonderful angel.

Here is a picture of Faith before her diagnosis, when she was being a girly girl, all dolled up for a dance recital. One thing's for sure:  her name was no accident.

My heart is battered and bruised, but I will not let it break. It holds such precious cargo, I must protect it now. (Susie Squillions)

I am so sorry to hear about Faith's passing.  I lit a candle for her not too long ago.  Such heartache I cannot even imagine.  She was a beautiful girl.  Our babies will be so lucky to have her to play with and to comfort them when they are down.  Is there any way to send a condolence to the family?

BTW, I figured out how to add the link for Ted's page!  Thanks again.

Look at the Bible. It clearly states that God intended for ALL his creations to have eternal life. No illness, no death. This thing we call life is temporary. In the end, believers will live eternally. Animals have no sin. They have no need for redemption. Job 10:12 speaks of "In whose hand is the soul of every living thing." They are souls given temporary bodies...just like us.
