Dear Allpets, Miss Kitty is absolutely beautiful. What a nice little video of her gorgeous eyes! What a devastating time this is for you, filled with questions that have no answers. We have other forum members whose kitties just vanished, and I can't imagine what the special kind of heartache associated with that must be. My heart aches for you now. 10 months after we lost our Bengal Cat, Buddy, to intestinal lymphoma, my husband came home one night (the anniversary of my mom's death) with a wonderful cat. My husband is a Blues and Rock guitar player, and he had been at a gig. The kitty had been hanging around in front of the bar all night long, and he cozied up to Jim on the band's breaks, and at the end of the night. That is how Stevie came into our lives. He's a wonderful guy, and we've often wondered if someone, somewhere is wondering what ever became of him. We tried so hard to find his people. He certainly must have been somebody's loving kitty until he came to us. The only name for him waas Stevie Raow Vaughn, since he loved the Electric Blues/Rock that my husband played, and we believe he was sent to us by our angel kitty, Buddy Guy. ;-) I can only hope and pray that if Miss Kitty can't return to you, it's because someone is loving her and treasuring her for the beautiful fur person she is. Most of all, I hope and pray that you will find answers to your questions, and that you will be reunited with Miss Kitty. Here's a poem I wrote for Stevie, along with his picture.
Stevie Raow Vaughn
Stevie Raow Vaughn,
Did someone wonder where you'd gone
On that cold, icy February night?
You walked up to Jim
And you snuggled up to him,
And he knew that his instinct was right.
Jim brought you home,
Where you found you weren't alone.
A new family was waiting here for you.
There were Jim and TJ,
Two others who had gone away,
And, of course, your new Mama-cat, Sue.
You've been here a year
And we love that you are here
To share all the joys of our warm home.
Somewhere, someone must wonder,
Must have looked above and under,
And hopes that your life is filled with cheer.
I wish we could find
The family you left behind
So we could let them know that you are safe.
But we're so glad you are here
In our home where you're held near In our hearts, and we love you, my dear. Susan ”Susie Squillions” Lynch, for Stevie Raow Vaughn © 2006
