Oh, NStar: I'm so sorry to hear that your beautiful Mommy Cat made her journey to the Rainbow bridge. I've sent a message to my handsome boys, Bingo, Buddy, and T.J. to take her under their wings and give her the Grand Tour of her new realm. You gave her the greatest gift possible by assisting her on her journey when she was beginning to suffer. You prevented further suffering knowing your own would just begin. What a brave thing to do! I used to say those words ~ and really mean them ~ to people here. Then, in March of this year, I had to make that decision for the first time in my life on behalf of the feline love of my life, T.J., when he was suffering from a brain tumor. He fought so hard to stay with me that he just didn't have the strength to let go. I couldn't let him fight so hard any longer. For 16 & 1/2 years his life was all about joy and physical strength so I had to set him free from his confusion and suffering. Now that I have been in the position of having to make that decision, I know how very difficult it is. My heart goes out to you. Please come back and tell us more about Mommy Cat when you are able to. It helps so much to write about them and to tell people who care about all the things that made her such a special part of your life. You and Angel Mommy Cat are in my thoughts and prayers.
My heart is battered and bruised, but I will not let it break. It holds such precious cargo, I must protect it now. (Susie Squillions)
