Tonight I went to my parents house and I saw Bruno's ashes for the first time since we lost him.  They had him in a  beautiful urn, inside a nice box and they had put a picture of him when he was a puppy.  I'm crying as I type this so my  grammar may not be the best, I'm sorry.
I lifted the lid of the urn and some dust came out, it came out in a little puff of air.  I closed the lid really quickly as I thought I might've spilled some. When I looked again, the bag was sealed so I'm not sure where the dust came from.  We've not had the ashes that long so they can't be dusty.
My boyfriend and best friend think it was Bruno greeting me.  What do you guys think?

Awwwww!  I absolutely believe that if it felt like a sign, it was a sign.  I believe it was Bruno's way of telling you he's still around, kicking up the dust with his happy dance for you, even when there's no dust around!  ;-)
My heart is battered and bruised, but I will not let it break. It holds such precious cargo, I must protect it now. (Susie Squillions)

If only I could have a Yodi sign, I would think it is all going to be OK. You know my LOVE for you and that we ARE best friends forever. I still have to bring him home. Just let all these wonderful people keep helping you, as they have me

Have you read "Pets and the afterlife" by Kim Sheridan?  It's amazing and she would say it's a sign.  I read it recently to help my grieving of Georgie, and it did help:)

I don't think the sadness ever goes away.  It just lessens to the point that we can think about it without losing it.  I lost my Casey in 2005 and I still have warm thoughts about him and miss him pretty regularly.  Losing Ted was much worse though, we had a special bond.  Sometimes the signs are so subtle that we overlook them.  I hope everyone has a sign from the beloved babies soon.  It helps heal the heart.

TriciaK, I've not read it but will definately consider it.  I do definately believe that there has been signs but I've been too sad to see them.

I think now my boyfriend is starting to get tired when I get upset, so I keep it quiet.  Its not all the time and I do function, but I miss him.  Its now day 25 without him and I have this ache.  I was thiking about getting a book, but wasn't sure where to start and if it would be a bad idea.

I do feel I was lucky to have a beautiful boy like that for so long :-)

Sometimes the men in our lives just don't get it.  I have been pleasantly surprised by some of the men who have posted on this site.  Men want to fix everything for us and when they can't, it is frustrating for them.

The books mentioned on this site area ll wonderful, and helpful, it anything, so you know that that the feelings you are experiencing are normal.  I particularly liked Cold Nose, Warm Heart.

1 went to check my Facebook this morning, and when I looked at my profile, there were 3 pictures of Bruno on there, and it said I had added them 7 hours ago.  That would've been about 1am and I was in bed.  Also I didn't add any pictures last night.  Is that Facebook just being wierd?
