I lost me precious 6 yr. old Dulita tonight.  She's been doing poorly with what we had been told was degenerative disc disease of the C-spine.  Made a fabulous rally with prednisone but once we weaned her off the steroids, she went rapidly downhill.  She went in for an MRI today and never rallied from the anethesia.  #SouthTexasVeterinarySpecialists keeping her alive long enough for us to get to her for the final moments.  Turns out it was a severe case of encephalolpy or lymphoma, which apparently is comment in small/toy breeds.  Dulce died in my arms.  I'm not coping well tonight, and my other fur babies, Daliliah and Lil'Bit, are longing for their singing instructor.

So sorry to hear of the passing of your precious Dulita.  She was very young.  We expect our chihuahuas to live to a very old age.  I lost my Danny chi last week, he was 12, but even that is
fairly young for a Chi. Your other little ones will miss her too -   are they chihuahuas? -  but they have each other so they will heal.   It's we the parents who have to suffer and it's very hard and grief takes a long time.   I wake each morning crying for him and talk to him all the time. I understand how devastating it is and so does everyone else here.
You might like to post a photo of her here one day?   She had a marvellous name, I imagine she was very beautiful.

Blessings,   Kate

So sorry for your loss.  I know her friends miss her terribly too.  It is hard and I don't know if anyone ever heals, they just learn that life is different and how to go on.  I am trying hard, but crying spurts are normal.  Had to leave a store today and go sit in my car and cry--after passing by the dog aisle in the grocery store.  It comes in waves.  Your baby is out of pain now, try to take comfort in that.  She will be with you again one day, with her never ending unconditional love.

Dali, as much a daughter as any human...  pure love
Until we meet again
