Anyone have a kitty with CRF? My cat Jazzy (10yr old calico) was diagnosed this week with CRF. Few days ago she was laying in bed with me an yawned. I noticed sores in her mouth. Took her to the vet an after talking about what to do I decided to get her teeth cleaned. We did the "normal" lab work before surgery an results came back with CRF. Her BUN number is 65, which my vet says in high moderate. I had no idea she was sick! I mean she's seems her normal self. After reading about some signs she does seem to drink an pee more then normal I guess. What ever "normal" is now days. When I dropped her off for her cleaning I left crying an confused. This doesn't seem to be happening. Very unexpected to say the least. I've told couple people an their not interested. Just thought I'd post something here. Thanks for reading.

There are treatments for CRF but no cure. It is possible that Jazzy would respond to some treatments. Ask your vet about the options. Here's an informative link.

Thanks Jim. I've looked at the website you listed. Has some good info on it. The more I read the more helpless I feel casue there is no cure for kidney disease.
