coco died in my arms in March aged 9 years - the reason she died? unknown.  this is my first christmas without her and I am finding it so hard to deal with.  I have bought a little bird statue to go on her grave - representing freedom......................I have rehomed a neglected dog and although I love him dearly-in fact he is by my feet as I type but I so miss my coco.  any input from members would be appreciated.
regards sue

sue,

I am so sorry for your loss. The Holidays seem to be really hard on those of us who have lost a furbaby. It is a difficult time for all here. It is wonderful to know that you have taken in another to love.

My thoughts and prayers are with you Sue as you continue to mourn your Coco.

Dear Coco's mom,

I am so sorry about the loss of your precious Coco.  I guess the only words of wisdom that I have is that this grieving journey is one you have to take; it winds, twists and turns and is very unpredictable..  It gets easier, but even a year later there can still be a huge feeling of loss.  I remember clearly sobbing like a baby on one year markers.  Kudo died 7 years ago; Nico 2.5 years ago.  I still miss them, but I now remember the good times, the love we shared, the precious memories of lives well lived. You will get to this point one day.

oh Karen - thank you so much for your message.  it does helps to talk it out as other non pet people don't understand the loss.  I so hope the Rainbow Bridge does exist and I'll be reunited with her one day.
I wish you and your family a happy and safe christmas
love
sue
