My foster dog Casper has a severe fear of storms and the vet has put him on doggie alp razolam and Ace prom azine to help him during thunderstorms which I do hope will help. What I am wondering though is has anyone had any experience with this and if so was it good or bad? Did it seem to help your dog or not? The spaces are in there because dogster wont allow the full words for some reason ....

i hope some help ...

We used ace on a goat who had a catheter placed after urinary stones. It was used for pain and mild seditive but sparingly. It almost killed him. Several times it slowed his heart and his body temp dropped. I haven't used it in dogs, but would use with caution in your pup. Not that it's going to kill him,but dose is very important and overuse I would say wouldn't be good. Poor pup,I know it must be hard when you can't comfort him during a storm.
