Baby girl,

Today I made a memorial for you. I collected my favorite pict6of you, a poem that reminds me you're at peace and to this collage of you I pinned your favorite toy, a tiny bag with some of your hair and your collar. 😭I wish I had video of you. You were perfect baby girl. Momma loves you. Momma misses you. Thank you for so much love.

Ohhh. That is just darling. It turned out BEAUTIFUL. A fitting memorial to your Ginger. You can easily see the love and tenderness you applied in making it. Well done!

Some of us here also had orange Tabby cats who have passed. Some white and orange. You can see the distinct "M" on the top of Ginger's photos on her forehead. All orange Tabbies have that distinct marking.

Female orange Tabbies are actually more rare than boy cats. We called our orange boys here on the forum the: "Orange Boys Club." But now there is a girl cat that can join too, so we need to change the name to the "Orange Cats Club" if Ginger is allowed to join.

My orange Tabby was named "Marmalade." He was a KING of a colony of stray and feral cats in New Mexico when our paths crossed 4 years ago. The female cats in the colony adored Marmalade, as he was always gentle and respectful of them, so he was trusted with the kittens who also loved him, and he was feared and respected by the males, even though Marmalade was smaller then them, was deaf, and chronically ill. I am sure if Marmalade sees your Ginger at the Rainbow Bridge he will help escort her. As will the other orange boys who have passed over. They were all special in their own way. You can read about them and see photos of them here on the forum. They were such characters and very much loved.

Winston Churchill had an orange tabby that he loved very much and to this day his estate in the UK always has an orange tabby that they adopt as a rescue, living at Churchill's estate. Which he left specific instructions was to be provided for.

I send you my sincerest condolences for your loss of Ginger. You can easily read in your words how much you totally adored, loved and cherished her.

Kind regards,
James

Thank you for your kind words James. Ginger can def join the orange tabby club. Your Marmalade can certainly escort her, he sounds like an absolute gentleman from you words. My condolences for your loss.

I liked the anecdote on Winston Churchill. It warms my heart.

Thank you again for reaching out.

My pleasure. I know all of the orange boys will be thrilled to have a girl finally join them over at the rainbow bridge. Especially as beautiful and precious as your Ginger was. They can all be her big brothers! Each was a gentleman by all accounts.

This is a video clip linked below about Churchill's orange cats. Evidently in the UK they call them "Ginger" or "Marmalade" cats. I had no idea when I named Marmalade. It just seemed like the right name for him at the time.

Take care,
James
